Raloxifene Profile
Raloxifene Hydrochloride is a selective modulator of second-generation similar in effect to tamoxifen. The difference between these two drugs is the selection of the tissues in which they act.
Raloxifene has a strong antiestrogenic effect on breast and uterine tissue, but also an estrogenic effect on bone tissue. This gives it the property of giving bone density. Nolvadex (tamoxifen) has an antiestrogenic effect only on breast and bone tissue.
Bodybuilders buy Raloxifene to fight the negative effects of aromatizing steroids. The main negative effect is gynecomastia, where raloxifene seems to be more effective than tamoxifen citrate. And this is evidenced in a medical study in 2004. Raloxifene could provide an alternative to surgery in severe cases of gynecomastia due to its strong antiestrogenic properties.
