GHRP-2
GHRP-2 | Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide - 2
GHRP-2 is a growth hormone secretagogue, very similar to GHRP-6, but still different in some aspects, differences that make it more attractive to bodybuilders and athletes.
Active Substance: Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide - 2
Commercial Names: RHGH-2
Drug Class / Purpose: Peptides / Cutting/Bulking Cycles
Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2 Description
GHRP-2 is a growth hormone secretagogue. This means that stimulates the body to release growth hormone. Like ghrelin, it stimulates the secretion of somatotropes from the anterior pituitary gland. Like ghrelin, it is synergistic with the endogenous hormone (secreted by the body) called GHRH (the hormone that releases the growth hormone) but also with the synthetic variants of GHRH such as Geref or GRF (1-29).
GHRP-2 is synergistic with GHRH due to their secondary actions on hypothalamic neurons. The level of growth hormone secreted when co-administered GHRP-2 and GHRH is higher than if they are used separately.
Neuronal arousal in the hypothalamus lasts about one hour after GHRP-2 administration, rapidly causing massive growth hormone secretion, which gradually fades 3 hours after the drug is administered. This release of growth hormone resembles the body's natural secretion, and it is superior to the administration of synthetic HGH, which has an 8 hour lifespan.
The decline of natural growth hormone production, which occurs with aging, is not a consequence of the inability to produce growth hormone, but rather a poor signal to start production. The pituitary gland of older people can produce the same quantity of growth hormone, with the same frequency as of young people, but the elements that start production, ghrelin and endogenous GHRH, are released in much smaller quantities, compared to young people. Therefore, GHRP-2 is equally effective for older people too.
GHRP-2 has a protective effect on the liver and also has anti-inflammatory effects; it seems that IGF-1 production may also increase.
GHRP Dosage
The optimal dose of GHRP-2 is 1mcg/kg body, but most bodybuilders will administer 100mcg. The administration is made by subcutaneous injections, twice daily: 100 mcg in the morning and 100 mcg in the evening; 3 administrations per day can be done. You should not eat 30 minutes before and after the administration.
The truly visible results appear when GHRP-2 is combined with a GHRH (eg Geref). The two substances are administered simultaneously, due to the mode of action. When GHRP-2 is administered, a pituitary gland pulse is given, a signal that causes the release of more growth hormone. Taken separately, GHRH has very little impact on growth hormone secretion. The two substances should be combined in equal doses (100 mcg of GHRP-2 and 100 mcg of GHRH).
Due to lower cost and far less possible side effects, the peptides such as GHRP-2 may soon replace synthetic growth hormone.
